What does a pigment liner do, and when do you need one?
A pigment liner is a technical drawing pen that you use for precision drawings, technical sketches and graphic work. You choose a pigment liner when you need lines that are permanent and do not fade due to light or moisture. This STAEDTLER variant with a 0.5 mm line width is suitable for detailed work where a consistent line width matters to you.

Why choose the 0.5 mm variant?
The 0.5 mm line width offers a good balance between precision and visibility. You can use it to draw fine details as well as clearly legible lines for diagrams and technical drawings. This width is versatile enough for various drawing applications without being too thin or too thick.

Advantages of the metal tip and pigment ink
The long metal tip works ideally with rulers and templates because it does not bend or get damaged when used along straight edges. The pigment ink is document-proof, lightfast and waterproof, which means your drawings keep their quality for years. This makes the pen reliable for important documents and archival work.

Practical usage tip
You can erase drawings made with this pigment liner on tracing paper, which is handy when making overlays or corrections on technical drawings. The metal clip ensures you can securely attach the pen to clipboards or in your breast pocket while drawing.
