What does a pigment liner do?
A pigment liner is a technical drawing pen that you use for precision work where you need to draw exact lines. You need this pen for technical drawings, architectural sketches, art projects, or whenever you work with rulers and templates. The 0.7 mm line width makes this variant suitable for medium-weight lines that are clearly visible but not too thick.

Why choose this line width?
At 0.7 mm you are in the middle range of line widths. This thickness is ideal when you want to draw details that need to be clearly visible, yet still require precision. The line is thicker than fine detail work (0.3-0.5 mm) but thinner than accent or border lines (1.0 mm and above).

Advantages of the long metal tip
The long metal tip of this STAEDTLER pigment liner is specially designed to work optimally with rulers and templates. Thanks to the metal construction, the tip stays stable and does not bend under pressure. This allows you to draw straight, crisp lines without the tip sinking or the line wobbling.

Durability of the pigment ink
The pigment ink in this pen is document-proof, lightfast and waterproof. This means your drawings won't fade in sunlight and are resistant to moisture. The ink can be erased on tracing paper, so you can make corrections on technical drawings. The metal clip lets you conveniently attach the pen to your pocket or drawing folder.
