What does this triangular colouring pencil do?
This Faber-Castell colouring pencil is specially designed for children who are just learning to write and draw. The triangular shape helps develop a good pencil grip, while the Soft-Grip zone offers extra comfort during use.

Why choose the triangular version?
The triangular shape is no accidental choice - this design prevents the pencil from rolling off the table and automatically encourages the correct finger position. This makes it ideal for young children who are still developing their fine motor skills and writing posture.

Water-soluble for creative possibilities
A special feature of this colouring pencil is that it is water-soluble, which means you can smudge and blend the colours with a little water. This opens up extra creative possibilities for watercolour effects and colour gradients, without the need for separate watercolour paints.

Practical details for everyday use
At a length of 175 mm, this pencil fits comfortably in the hand, and the name field allows children to mark their pencil for use at school. The 3.0 mm lead diameter produces strong, clear lines that are unlikely to break under somewhat firmer use by small hands.
