When do you need watercolour pencils?
Watercolour pencils are ideal when you want to both draw and paint in a single working session. You can first draw dry for details and outlines, and then go over the colours with a wet brush for soft transitions and watercolour effects. This makes them perfect for creative projects where you want to combine different techniques.

Why choose the triangular shape?
The triangular shape of these Faber-Castell pencils provides a natural and relaxed grip. Your fingers fall automatically into the right position, which reduces cramping during long periods of drawing. This is especially useful for detailed work where precision is important.

What does the 3.0 mm core thickness mean?
With a core thickness of 3.0 mm, you have a relatively broad core that is suitable for both fine lines and colouring larger areas. The core is sturdy enough not to break easily, yet soft enough to deposit colour well. Thanks to the water-soluble property, you can vary the colour intensity by adding more or less water.

Practical details for optimal use
These pencils are 175 mm long and feature a Soft-Grip zone for extra comfort. The name field on each pencil is handy for identifying your materials. For the best watercolour effect, use a clean, damp brush and work from light to dark. Allow each layer to dry thoroughly before applying the next.
