What does this rollerball pen do, and when do you need it?

A rollerball pen is the choice when you want smooth, precise writing without the resistance of a ballpoint. The Free Ink from Faber-Castell suits everyday writing at the office or at home, or whenever you want notes that look neat and well presented. Thanks to the liquid ink, the pen glides effortlessly over paper, which makes writing more pleasant over longer periods.

Why this particular size and colour?

The 0.4 mm tip is fine enough for compact handwriting and detailed notes, without the line feeling too thin or fragile. The conical tip gives extra control over your writing angle, which is useful if you write by hand regularly. The violet ink combined with the light grey plastic body also makes it suitable if you want to tell your writing materials apart by category or project.

A frank note on materials

The body of the pen is made for 83% from recycled plastic. This means that if sustainability plays a role in your choice of office supplies, you are making a conscious decision with this product. The use of recycled material has no effect on the writing performance of the pen itself.

Practical tip: managing your ink

The Free Ink has a viewing window in the body, so you can easily check how much ink is left in the pen. This helps you avoid running out unexpectedly in the middle of a meeting or during an important task. Keep your supply topped up by setting a new pen aside as soon as the ink level visibly drops in the window.
