When should you choose a matt graphite pencil?
This PITT GRAPHITE Matt pencil has been specially developed for artists who work with graphite but are troubled by distracting reflection on paper. The matt graphite ensures your drawing does not acquire a shine, which is especially important for detailed work and when you photograph your artwork. Thanks to the reduced reflection, you can much better see what you are actually drawing.

Soft graphite for rich tonal values
The soft graphite application gives you dark, rich tones and blends and smudges easily. This is perfect for realistic portraits and landscapes where you need a lot of variation in tonal values, and for creating deep shadows.

Extra break resistance for intensive use
This pencil has a reinforced construction that offers break resistance while drawing. The graphite core has been specially treated to be less prone to breaking, even when making dark, intensive strokes. This means less frustration during your creative process and more control over your lines.

Practical tip for optimal results
The pencil is lacquered with water-based lacquer, which provides a comfortable grip without your fingers leaving marks on the wood. For the best results, you can combine this pencil with blending stumps or tissues to blend the soft graphite and create beautiful transitions in your drawings.
