What does this rollerball pen do and when do you need it?

The Faber-Castell Free Ink Fine is a rollerball pen with liquid ink, designed for writing where precision and a smooth writing experience are central. Thanks to the constant ink flow, the pen writes smoothly without interruptions, making it suitable for notes, diaries and other everyday writing tasks where you want a fine line.

Why choose the fine 0.4 mm tip?

With a writing width of 0.4 mm and a conical tip, this rollerball pen is a good choice if you have a compact handwriting or want to capture details without letters running into each other. The fine line is also handy when filling in forms or making detailed notes in a diary with narrow lines.

Honest about sustainability and ink level

The pen body is made up of 83% recycled plastic, which means production requires fewer new raw materials. That is a concrete feature, not a marketing claim. The pen also has a viewing window so you can check the ink level, so you won't unexpectedly run out of ink at an inconvenient moment.

Practical tip for everyday use

The Free Ink Fine writes in green and has a light grey body, which makes it easier to find in a pencil case or desk drawer if you use several pens. Please note that liquid ink in rollerball pens can take slightly longer to dry than gel or ballpoint ink, so wait a moment before turning the page to avoid smudges.
