What does this rollerball pen do and when do you need it?

The Faber-Castell Free Ink Fine is a tintenroller, a writing instrument that uses liquid ink for a smooth, even writing experience. You choose a rollerball pen when you want to write comfortably and effortlessly without having to press hard on the paper, for example for notes, diaries or handwritten notes at the office or at home.

Why choose this light blue variant?

This rollerball pen writes in light blue, which sets it apart from the standard dark blue or black writing instruments. Light blue is a fresh colour that is easy to read and visually distinct from other notes, handy if you use colour coding in your notebook or planner. The light grey barrel matches the light blue ink colour and makes the pen easy to recognise in a pen holder.

Honestly about the nib width and ink visibility

The writing width is 0.4 mm with a conical tip, resulting in a fine and precise line. That makes this pen suitable for small handwriting or situations where you want to fit a lot of text into limited space. Handy is the ink window, which lets you easily see how much ink is left in the pen, so you won't unexpectedly run out.

Practical tip: sustainability and use

The barrel of this rollerball pen is made of 83% recycled plastic, a deliberate choice if you want to pay attention to the material use of the products you buy. The constant ink flow ensures you experience no interruptions while writing. When disposing of the pen, check your local waste separation rules, as the mixed material composition requires proper collection.
