What does this stretched canvas do?
A stretched canvas is a ready-to-paint canvas that is stretched taut over a wooden frame. You use it as a stable surface for painting with paint. The size offers enough room for artworks without the canvas becoming too large for most workspaces.

Why choose this size?
The 16 mm frame depth (frame width) provides sufficient stability, so the canvas does not sag while you paint. This size is ideal if you need a sturdy canvas with a good working surface, but still want to keep an overview of your entire piece.

Professional preparation for different painting techniques
The canvas is 4-fold primed, which means four layers of primer have been applied. This ground layer ensures your paint adheres well and prevents oil from oil paint being absorbed into the canvas. The 100% cotton canvas, weighing 330 g/m², provides a sturdy surface suitable for both oil and acrylic paint.

Practical use
Thanks to the pre-treatment, you can start painting straight away without applying any ground coat yourself. The cotton has a fine texture that allows for both detailed work and more expressive paint application. Make sure to place the canvas on a sturdy easel while painting to make the most of its stable construction.
