This outdoor network cable withstands weather and wind thanks to its IP66 protection and oil-resistant sheath. The gold-plated contacts ensure a stable, fast connection.
When do you choose this product?
When do you need an outdoor network connection?
You use this Cat. 6A S/FTP cable for reliable network connections in outdoor environments where ordinary cables fail. Think of connections between buildings, cameras in the garden, or network equipment in sheds and garages.
Why Cat. 6A for outdoor use?
The Cat. 6A standard supports a 500 MHz frequency, which ensures stable data transmission at higher speeds than standard Cat. 6 cables. The double shielding (S/FTP) protects against electromagnetic interference, which is more common outdoors from other cables, motors or wireless signals.
IP66 water resistance in practice
With IP66 certification, this cable is fully protected against dust and powerful water jets from any direction. You can therefore use it without worry in rain, washing down or high humidity. The cable is also oil-resistant, which is useful when used near machines or vehicles.
Installation and limitations
Please note: this cable is not suitable for direct underground installation without protective conduit. For above-ground use or in cable trays, you are safe. The gold-plated RJ45 connectors with a moulded housing and strain relief make the connections extra durable. The copper material in the conductors guarantees optimal conductivity.
