When do you need thick triangular pencils?
Triangular pencils with a thick 3.0 mm lead have been specially developed for beginning writers and children of primary school age. The triangular shape helps children learn the correct pencil grip and prevents the pencil from rolling off the table. Use these pencils when children are gaining their first writing and drawing experiences.

Why this 175 mm length is ideal
At a length of 175 mm, these Faber-Castell pencils are shorter than standard pencils, so they fit perfectly in small hands. The pineapple yellow colour makes them easy to spot and cheerful to use. The size is practical for school bags and pencil cases without taking up too much space.

What the Soft-Grip Zone means for use
The Soft-Grip Zone provides extra comfort while writing and drawing. This zone offers more grip and reduces the chance of the pencil slipping out of the fingers. As a result, children can work comfortably for longer without their hand getting tired, which is especially important during long drawing activities.

Practical benefits for everyday use
These pencils are watercolour pencils, which means you can blur or blend the lines with a little water for artistic effects. The name field on each pencil lets you write the child's name, which is handy at school to prevent loss. Thanks to the 3.0 mm thickness, the lead breaks less easily than with thin pencils.
