When do you need canvas on stretcher frames?
Canvas on stretcher frames is essential for creating paintings with oil paint, acrylic paint or other types of paint. The stretched canvas provides a stable surface that does not sag while you paint. You need this when you want to create artworks that you can hang or exhibit, as opposed to painting on paper or cardboard.

Why choose the 13×18 cm size?
This compact size is ideal for small studies, portraits or detailed work. It is perfectly suited to beginners who want to practise techniques without wasting a lot of material. For experienced artists too, this size is handy for working out ideas or making gifts. The set of 10 pieces ensures you have enough canvases for a whole series of experiments.

Quality of the cotton canvas
The canvas is made of 100% cotton with a weight of 380 grams per square metre, which provides a sturdy and durable surface. The 3-layer gesso primer means the canvas is already pre-treated, so you can start painting straight away. The paint will adhere well and will not soak into the canvas, so your colours stay vibrant.

Practical properties of the stretcher frame
The 16 mm thick stretcher frame, made of pinewood, offers sufficient rigidity for this small size. The canvas is professionally attached, which ensures even tension across the entire surface.
