What is a keilrahmen and when do you need one?
A keilrahmen is a pre-stretched canvas on a wooden frame, ready to use. You need one if you want to start painting straight away without stretching a canvas yourself. This KREUL model is suitable for various painting techniques such as oil and acrylic paint, but also for the napkin technique.

Why choose this size of 300 × 600 mm?
The 300 × 600 mm format offers an elongated rectangle that is ideal for landscapes, panoramic compositions or horizontal subjects. This size gives you enough room for detailed work, yet remains manageable enough to work on comfortably without needing much workspace.

A solid base thanks to 4-fold primed cotton
The canvas is made of 100% cotton with a weight of 380 g/m² and is primed four times. This ground layer ensures that paint does not soak into the fibres but sits nicely on the surface. The cotton has a natural texture that gives grip to your layers of paint and provides an authentic painting experience.

Practical details for optimal use
The 38 mm stretcher bar depth provides stability while painting and prevents sagging. The canvas is only stapled on the back, so the sides stay smooth, which is handy if you want to paint over the edges. Store the keilrahmen dry and flat to prevent warping, and use it within a reasonable time after purchase for the best results.
