When do you use a stretchable canvas?
A stretchable canvas is ideal when you want flexibility in your artwork. You can paint the canvas loose first and stretch it onto a frame later, or you can use it directly stretched on a homemade frame. This format offers enough space for compositions without taking up too much room in your workspace.

Advantages of 100% cotton and a fourfold primer
This canvas is made of 100% cotton with a weight of 330 grams per square metre, which ensures a sturdy yet flexible surface. The fourfold primer means the canvas has been prepared four times, so paint doesn't soak into the fibres and colours stay brighter. This primer is suitable for both oil and acrylic paint.

Practical tip for stretching
With the 16 mm profile depth, you can easily stretch the canvas onto a stretcher bar frame. Make sure you stretch the canvas evenly: start in the middle of each side and work towards the corners. Because of the cotton composition, the canvas has some give, which makes stretching easier and ensures the canvas stays taut.
