When do you need a stretcher frame?
A stretcher frame is essential for painters who want to work on a stretched canvas instead of on paper or cardboard. You use this as the basis for your painting, with the canvas already professionally stretched and primed. This saves you the time and effort of stretching and preparing a canvas yourself.

Why choose this 300×400 mm size?
This size offers enough space for medium-sized compositions without the working surface becoming too large for beginners or hobbyists. The format is ideal for portraits, landscapes or still-life paintings where you want to add detail without the project becoming overwhelming.

Benefits of the 4-fold primer
The canvas is 4-fold primed, which means four layers of primer have been applied. This ensures an even, stable surface that prevents your paint from soaking into the canvas. The primer is suitable for both oil and acrylic paint, giving you flexibility in your choice of paint type.

Practical properties for use
The 100% cotton canvas has a weight of 330 g/m² and a bar depth of 16 mm. This frame thickness gives the stretcher frame sufficient rigidity to maintain the tension of the canvas. You can start painting straight away without any further preparation of the surface.
