What is this stretched canvas and when do you need it?
A stretched canvas is a pre-stretched canvas on a wooden frame, specially made for painting. You need this stretched canvas when you want to paint with oil paint, acrylic paint, or when you want to apply the napkin technique. The canvas is already fully ready for use, so you can start your artwork straight away without any preparation time.

Why choose this 600×600 mm format?
This square format of 600×600 mm gives you enough space for medium-sized artworks without becoming unwieldy. The square format is ideal for portraits, still lifes or abstract compositions where you want a balanced distribution of your subject. The format is large enough for detailed work, yet remains practical to handle at your workspace.

The 4-fold primed canvas makes the difference
This stretched canvas is 4-fold primed, which means four layers of primer have been applied. These primer layers ensure that your paint does not soak into the canvas but sits beautifully on the surface. The 100% cotton canvas, weighing 380 g/m², provides a sturdy base that does not sag while you paint.

Practical advantages of the construction
The bar depth of 17 mm gives the stretched canvas stability, while the staples are placed only on the back. This means the sides are smooth, and you can hang the artwork without a frame. The canvas is taut and retains its shape, even with intensive use across different painting techniques.
