What is this stretcher frame and when do you need it?
A stretcher frame is a stretched canvas on a wooden frame, ready for use in painting projects. You need this when you want to paint with oil paint, acrylic paint, or when you want to apply the napkin technique. The canvas is already fully prepared, so you can start your artwork straight away without having to stretch or prime a canvas yourself.

Why this 60×80 cm format is ideal
This format offers enough space for medium-sized paintings without becoming unwieldy. At 60×80 cm you can create both landscapes and portraits, and it fits well on an average easel. The format is large enough for expressive works, yet remains practical for use in a home studio or art class.

Advantages of the 380 g/m² cotton construction
The 100% cotton canvas weighs 380 g/m² and is primed 4 times, which ensures a stable and absorbent surface. The primer layer prevents paint from soaking into the canvas and gives you more control over your brush. The cotton has a natural texture that works well for various painting techniques and gives your painting a professional look.

Practical details for optimal use
The stretcher bar depth (frame depth) of 17 mm provides sufficient sturdiness without making the frame heavy. The staples are only on the back, so the sides remain smooth and you can hang the painting without a frame if you wish. This stretcher frame works best with medium to thicker layers of paint, as the primed surface is specifically prepared for this.
