What does this product do?
A drawing pencil with HB hardness is used for technical drawing, sketching and precise line work. The HB grade offers a perfect balance between hardness and softness, so you can make both fine lines and light shading without the point wearing down quickly.

Why this 2.0 mm thickness?
The 2.0 mm lead provides more stability than thin leads and is less likely to break. This size is ideal for extensive drawing work where you need a consistent line width. You can keep working for longer without the point breaking, even with a bit more pressure.

Hexagonal shape for better grip
The hexagonal profile prevents the pencil from rolling off your drawing board and gives you more control while drawing. Your fingers automatically find the right grip positions, which makes more accurate work possible. The blue lacquer makes the pencil easy to recognise among other drawing materials.

Compatibility and use
This STAEDTLER Mars Lumograph pencil works excellently with other drawing materials such as rulers and templates. For the best results, use it on smooth drawing paper of at least 120 grams. Store the pencil lying down to prevent damage to the point, and use a quality pencil sharpener suitable for the harder lead composition.
