What is a stretched canvas and when do you need one?
A stretched canvas is a ready-made canvas stretched over a wooden frame, specially developed for painting. You choose this product when you want to start painting straight away without first stretching a canvas yourself. It saves time and provides a taut, professional painting surface.

Why choose this size of 40×50 cm?
This format offers enough space for detailed work and composition without being overwhelming. With a frame depth of 38 mm, you get a sturdy, professional appearance that is suitable for both practice pieces and serious works of art. The depth ensures that the canvas does not sag while you paint.

High-quality preparation for immediate use
The canvas is primed 4 times, which means the surface is optimally prepared to absorb paint well. The 100% cotton canvas of 380 grams per square metre provides a stable base suitable for various painting techniques. The canvas is attached only at the back, so the sides remain smooth.

Suitable for versatile painting techniques
You can use this stretched canvas for oil and acrylic paint, as well as for serviette technique. Thanks to the ground layer, you don't need to apply any extra primer and can start your artwork straight away. The canvas is sturdy enough to carry several layers of paint without being damaged.
