What is this stretched canvas for?
A stretched canvas is a primed cloth stretched over a wooden frame, ready to use for painting projects. You need this when you want to paint without first having to prepare and stretch a canvas yourself. The KREUL stretched canvas is suitable for oil and acrylic paint, but also for the serviette technique.

Why choose this 40×40 cm size?
This square format of 40×40 cm offers enough space for detailed work without being too large for beginners. The compact size makes it practical to use on a desk or small easel, while still leaving room for creative expression. The square format works well for portraits, still lifes or abstract compositions.

The benefits of 4-times primed cotton
The canvas is primed four times, which means four layers of primer have been applied. This creates a smooth, even surface that takes paint well without soaking it in. The 100% cotton canvas has a weight of 380 g/m², which provides stability while painting. Thanks to the preparation, you can start painting straight away.

Practical details for use
The frame has a depth of 17 mm and the staples are only on the back, which ensures a neat finish along the sides. This makes the canvas suitable for hanging without a frame if you paint the sides too. The stretched canvas is compatible with all common oil and acrylic paints, and you can use it with various brush techniques.
