When do you need an extra hard pencil?
The STAEDTLER Mars Lumograph 7H pencil is specifically designed for technical drawing, architectural sketches and precision work where you need very light, fine lines. The 7H degree of hardness produces minimal graphite deposit, so you can draw accurate lines that are easy to erase later without leaving marks behind.

Why choose the 7H degree of hardness?
The 7H hardness is one of the hardest pencil grades available and is ideal when you need to draw construction lines, guidelines or very precise details. This pencil leaves barely any graphite on the paper, making it perfect for preparatory work that will later be traced over with softer pencils or ink.

Durability thanks to a special lead construction
This pencil features a fused-core lead that is exceptionally break-resistant. This special construction ensures the 2.0 mm thick lead is less likely to snap during use, even with the hard 7H composition, which is naturally more prone to breaking than softer grades.

Practical details for everyday use
The pencil has a hexagonal shape that sits comfortably in the hand and won't roll off your work surface. The blue lacquer finish makes it easy to spot among other pencils in your pencil case. Thanks to the 7H hardness, the point wears down very slowly, so you need to sharpen it less often during long drawing sessions.
