When do you need an ink ribbon?
An ink ribbon is essential for dot matrix printers that are still used for carbon forms, invoices and other documents where multiple copies are needed at once. If your ink ribbon runs out or becomes worn, you get faint or incomplete prints that can become illegible.

Why choose this specific nylon ink ribbon?
This Kores ink ribbon has been specially developed for Lexmark and IBM dot matrix printers from the 2480, 2481, 2490 and 2491 series. The nylon material ensures a longer service life than ordinary fabric ribbons and delivers consistent print results. Nylon ribbons can handle more print cycles before they need to be replaced.

Reliable compatibility with multiple models
The ribbon works with several Lexmark printer models: the 2480, 2481, 2490 and 2491. This broad compatibility makes it a practical choice if you use multiple printers from this series or want to keep a spare ribbon on hand. The black colour produces sharp, professional prints for business documents.

Practical installation tip
Always check your printer's model number and the reference code R160NYS in your printer manual before installation. Make sure the printer is switched off when replacing the ribbon and follow the instructions in your manual for correctly fitting the ribbon cartridge. Store spare ribbons at room temperature and away from direct sunlight to prevent them from drying out.
