This Van Gogh watercolour brush has a fine point for precise details and smooth paint transfer. The synthetic hairs retain their shape well, and the sturdy brass housing ensures durable use.
When do you choose this product?
When do you need a round watercolour brush?
A round watercolour brush is used for most watercolour techniques, from applying areas of colour to creating fine details. The round shape with a very fine tip makes this brush suitable for both broad strokes and precise lines. You need this type of brush if you want to paint with watercolour and have control over your brushwork.
Why choose size 5?
Size 5 is a medium-sized brush that offers versatility in your watercolour work. With this size, you can work out smaller details as well as fill reasonably broad areas. It is a practical choice if you are looking for a brush that is not too small for areas of colour, but also not too large for finer passages in your painting.
Advantages of gold-coloured synthetic fibres
This brush has gold-coloured synthetic fibres that are specifically developed for watercolour paint. Synthetic fibres retain their shape well and are more durable than natural hair. They absorb water well and release the paint evenly, which is important for fluid watercolour techniques. The very fine tip ensures that you can create precise details.
Practical details for long-term use
The short, glossy lacquered handle sits comfortably in your hand while you paint. The round, seamlessly nickel-plated brass ferrule ensures that the fibres are held firmly and do not come loose during use. Always rinse the brush thoroughly after use and let it dry flat to extend its lifespan.
