This round Van Gogh watercolour brush has a fine point that lets you move effortlessly from broad areas to precise details. The seamless brass ferrule holds the synthetic hairs firmly in place, for years of enjoyment while painting.
When do you choose this product?
When do you need a watercolour brush?
A watercolour brush is used for painting with watercolour paint, where you need precision and control over your paint application. This round brush is ideal when you want to create detailed work, draw outlines or fill small areas when painting with watercolours.
Why choose size 18 and a round shape?
Size 18 is a medium-sized brush that offers versatility between detail and broader work. The round shape with a very fine point makes this brush suitable for both precise lines and filling smaller surfaces. You can work in a controlled way without the brush becoming too small for efficient painting.
What makes the synthetic fibres special?
This brush has gold-coloured synthetic fibres that have been specially developed for watercolour paint. Synthetic hairs offer a good balance between water absorption and resilience, so you can work consistently. They hold their shape well and are more durable than many natural alternatives.
Practical benefits of the construction
The round, seamlessly nickel-plated brass ferrule (the metal band) ensures the hairs are held firmly in place and that no water can penetrate. The short, glossy lacquered handle gives you good control while painting. Thanks to the short handle, you can stay close to your work for maximum precision when doing detailed work.
