When do you need this specific ink ribbon?

This nylon ink ribbon has been developed for dot matrix printers, which are still widely used in businesses where carbon-copy forms are essential. You need this ribbon when your IBM 6400-series or Siemens ZD17 printer stops producing prints or the text becomes too faint. Dot matrix printers remain indispensable for printing multi-part forms in warehouses, dispatch departments and administrative processes.

Compatibility with your printer system

This Kores ink ribbon works specifically with IBM 6400, 6408 and 6412 models, as well as Siemens ZD17 printers. The OEM reference R324NYS ensures that you order exactly the right ribbon for your printer system. Always check the exact model of your printer before ordering, as different printer models require specific ribbon types.

Why nylon as the ribbon material?

Nylon ink ribbons offer a good balance between print sharpness and lifespan for regular use. The nylon material ensures consistent ink release throughout the ribbon's entire lifespan, so your text stays clear and easy to read. This makes it suitable for standard office work and forms where clear text is more important than extreme durability.

Practical installation tip

When replacing the ribbon, pay attention to the correct placement of the ribbon cassette in your printer. Make sure the ribbon is not twisted and check that the print head is clean before installing the new ribbon. This prevents uneven prints and extends the lifespan of both the ribbon and the print head.
