What does a nylon ink ribbon do?
A nylon ink ribbon transfers ink in older dot matrix printers and typewriters. You need this type of ribbon when working with devices that print mechanically, using pins that strike the paper through the ribbon. This technology is still used for carbon forms and in environments where sturdy, reliable prints are essential.

Why specifically for C.ITOH 650 devices?
This Kores ink ribbon has been specially developed for the C.ITOH 650 and Citizen Prodot 450L printers. This specific compatibility means the ribbon fits exactly in the ribbon cartridge and has the correct tension for optimal performance. Generic ribbons can lead to poor print quality or damage to your printer.

Advantages of nylon as a material
The main advantage of nylon ink ribbons is that they are more durable than fabric ribbons and consistently deliver black prints. The nylon material ensures an even distribution of ink across the entire ribbon, so you get sharp text for longer. This makes them more cost-effective than cheaper alternatives that wear out more quickly.

Practical compatibility tip
Always check the model number of your printer before ordering. The reference code R014NYS is often listed in the manual of your C.ITOH 650 or Citizen Prodot 450L. Also make sure you completely remove the old ribbon before installing the new one, so that no residue is left behind that could affect print quality.
