When do you need a professional colouring pencil?
This Faber-Castell Polychromos colouring pencil has been specifically developed for artists who work with high-quality materials. You choose this type of colouring pencil when you are making detailed drawings, creating illustrations or applying colour techniques where colour fastness is important.

Why choose the maigroene variant?
Colour code 170 stands for maigroen, a fresh green shade that is essential for nature drawings, landscapes and botanical illustrations. This particular colour bridges the gap between the bright green of new leaves and deeper green tones, allowing you to create natural transitions in your artwork.

Benefits of the 3.8 mm oil pastel core
The oil pastel core delivers rich colour and smooth application on paper. With a core diameter of 3.8 mm, you get a good balance between fine detail work and filling larger areas. The round pencil, 176 mm in length, sits comfortably in your hand for extended use.

Practical features for artists
This colouring pencil is lightfast and waterproof, which means your colour stays where you apply it. The break-resistant core prevents annoying interruptions while drawing. You can combine this pencil with other Polychromos colours for layering and colour mixing, without previously applied colours fading or bleeding.
