When do you need professional coloured pencils?
As an artist, you work with materials that withstand weathering and capture your creative vision faithfully. This Faber-Castell Polychromos coloured pencil has been specially developed for artists who want permanent, lightfast results. The oil pastel lead delivers rich colour release without you having to worry about fading or discolouration of your artwork.

Why choose this heliotrope blue-reddish shade?
This specific colour 151 offers a unique heliotrope blue-reddish nuance that is perfect for creating subtle transitions and blended tones. The oil pastel lead blends excellently with other Polychromos colours, allowing you to achieve complex colour gradations and atmospheric effects in portraits, landscapes or abstract works.

What makes the oil pastel lead special?
The 3.8 mm thick oil pastel lead in this pencil is both smudge-proof and water-resistant. This means your drawing won't run when exposed to moisture and colours won't fade through friction. The break-resistant property prevents the lead from snapping during intensive use, even with detailed work or firm pressure on the paper.

Practical usage tip
At a length of 176 mm, this round coloured pencil sits comfortably in the hand during long drawing sessions. Store your Polychromos pencils horizontally to protect the lead optimally. This pencil combines perfectly with other colours from the Polychromos range for professional art projects where colour fastness is essential.
