When do you need a professional colour pencil?
The Faber-Castell Polychromos colour pencil has been specially developed for artists who want to achieve professional results. Use this type of oil-based colour pencil when you are working on detailed work, creating realistic drawings or undertaking projects where the colours need to stay beautiful for a long time.

Why choose the gold colour variant?
This gold version (colour code 250) gives you a warm, rich shade for accents and highlights in your artwork. With high-quality pigments and unrivalled colour brilliance, gold adds elegance to your compositions.

What makes the oil pastel core special?
The 3.8 mm oil pastel core ensures rich colour delivery and smooth application. The great advantage is that this core is wax- and water-resistant, meaning your work will not fade from moisture or be accidentally smudged. Moreover, the core is break-resistant, so you need to sharpen it less often.

Practical features for everyday use
With an overall length of 176 mm, this pencil sits comfortably in the hand for long periods of drawing. The round shape gives you a natural grip without angular pressure points. Thanks to its water-resistant properties, you can also combine this pencil with watercolour techniques.
