What does this colouring pencil do?
The Faber-Castell Polychromos colouring pencil has been specially developed for artists who work with colour professionally. This pencil contains an oil-based lead that is lightfast and water-resistant, so your drawings stay durable and do not fade from moisture or accidental contact.

Why choose this dark indigo variant?
Colour 157 (dark indigo) is a rich, deep blue that is essential for shadows, depth and contrast in your artwork. The round shape sits comfortably in your hand during long drawing sessions and gives you full control over line thickness through the pressure and angle with which you draw.

Robust lead for intensive use
The oil-based lead is 3.8 mm thick and break-resistant, which means you won't have to deal with snapping points during your work. This sturdiness makes the pencil suitable for both fine details and bold, broad strokes.

Practical specifications for your workspace
At a length of 176 mm, this pencil fits perfectly in standard pen holders and pencil cases. You can combine it with other Polychromos colours from the same range, with all pencils having the same dimensions for a uniform working experience. The water-resistant property also makes it suitable for mixed-media techniques.
