When do you need professional coloured pencils?
This Faber-Castell Polychromos coloured pencil has been specially developed for artists who work with high-quality materials. You choose this type of coloured pencil when you are creating permanent artworks, drawing illustrations or carrying out professional colouring projects where durability is important.

Why choose the Polychromos range?
These coloured pencils have an oil-based core that is lightfast and waterproof. This means your work will not fade or run when it comes into contact with moisture. The break-resistant core ensures the pencil does not break easily during intensive use, even when applying a lot of pressure.

The benefits of a 3.8 mm core
With a core diameter of 3.8 mm, this pencil offers a perfect balance between precision and coverage. You can draw fine details as well as colour in larger areas. The round shape sits comfortably in the hand and gives you full control over colour intensity.

Practical tips for optimal use
This pencil measures 176 mm in length, which ensures a long lifespan. For the best possible results, sharpen the pencil with a quality sharpener suitable for oil-based pencils. Store your Polychromos pencils horizontally to protect the core, and make sure they are not dropped, despite their break-resistant properties.
