When do you need a professional colouring pencil?
This Faber-Castell Polychromos colouring pencil has been specifically developed for artists who work with high-quality materials. You choose this type of colouring pencil when you are making detailed drawings, creating illustrations or carrying out artistic projects where colour fastness and precision are crucial.

Why choose the oil pastel core?
The 3.8 mm oil pastel core delivers rich colour and a smooth texture while drawing. This core thickness gives you the perfect balance between fine detail work and filling in larger areas. The oil composition makes the pencil ideal for layering techniques and colour blending.

Durability and resistance to external influences
This colouring pencil is erasable and water-resistant, which means your work stays intact even in damp conditions. The break-resistant core prevents the pencil from snapping easily during intensive use. These properties make the pencil suitable for both indoor and outdoor drawing and ensure that your artworks retain their colour intensity for a long time.

Practical specifications for artists
With a total length of 176 mm, this round colouring pencil sits comfortably in the hand during long drawing sessions. The colour code 121 refers to the specific shade light geranium lake within the Polychromos system. This makes it easy to buy the same colour again or to combine it with other Polychromos colours from the same series.
