What does this coloured pencil do?
The Faber-Castell Polychromos coloured pencil has been specially developed for artists who want to achieve professional results. This coloured pencil contains an oil-based core that delivers intense, saturated colours and is suitable for a variety of drawing techniques. You need this type of pencil when working on art projects where colour fastness and durability are essential.

Why choose this 3.8 mm core diameter?
The 3.8 mm oil-based core strikes the perfect balance between precision and colour laydown. This thickness allows you to create both fine details and broader areas of colour without constantly having to switch materials. The round design sits comfortably in the hand and gives you full control over your line work.

Resistance to water and smudging
An important feature of this coloured pencil is that it is both water-resistant and smudge-resistant. This means your colours will not fade when they come into contact with moisture, and your work will not accidentally smudge while you are drawing. The break-resistant core withstands heavy use and prevents frustrating breakages during your work.

Practical use and storage
With a total length of 176 mm, this coloured pencil fits standard pencil cases and pencil boxes. The cadmium orange colour (number 111) is a warm, vibrant shade that works excellently for skin tones, sunsets and autumn themes. Store the pencil lying flat to protect the tip, and use a quality sharpener suitable for oil-based cores.
