When should you choose professional coloured pencils?
Faber-Castell Polychromos coloured pencils are specifically developed for artists working on professional drawings, illustrations or artworks. You choose this type of coloured pencil when you want permanent results that will not fade or bleed. These pencils are ideal for technical drawings, artistic projects and all situations where you need a durable and stable colour result.

Why this 3.8 mm lead diameter?
With a lead diameter of 3.8 mm, this coloured pencil offers the perfect balance between detail and areas of colour. This thickness is wide enough to quickly colour in larger surfaces, yet still precise enough for fine details and line drawings. The round shape ensures a comfortable grip during extended use.

Erasable and water-resistant oil pastel lead
The great advantage of this Polychromos is the oil-based core, which is fully erasable and water-resistant. Once applied, your colourwork remains intact, even when in contact with moisture or when attempts are made to erase it. The break-resistant lead means you are less troubled by breaking points while drawing, so you can keep working without interruption.

Practical tip for colour coding
This specific pencil has colour code 140 and comes in the colour light ultramarine blue. When topping up your coloured pencil set, you can use this code to order exactly the same shade. With a length of 176 mm, you have enough material for long-lasting projects.
