Who are the artist's coloured pencils intended for?
This Faber-Castell Polychromos coloured pencil has been specially developed for artists who work with colour professionally. You need this type of pencil when you make drawings that must withstand smudging and water damage. The round design sits comfortably in the hand during long drawing sessions.

Why choose the 3,8 mm lead diameter?
The 3,8 mm lead strikes a perfect balance between precision and colour delivery. With this thickness you can draw fine details as well as colour in larger areas without having to sharpen constantly. The lead is also break-resistant, which means it is less likely to snap during use.

What makes the oil pastel lead special?
This coloured pencil contains an oil pastel lead (Ölkreidemine) that is both smudge-proof and water-resistant. This means your drawing will not run when it comes into contact with moisture, and colours will not fade accidentally through touch. This property makes the pencil ideal for artworks that need to be preserved for a long time.

Practical details for use
The pencil has a total length of 176 mm, which ensures good balance while drawing. The Venetian red colour carries colour number 190 within the Polychromos system from Faber-Castell. This makes it easy to purchase exactly the same colour again later for your art projects.
