When do you need this specific colour pencil?
The Faber-Castell Polychromos colour pencil is developed for artists working on portraits, figure studies or realistic drawings. This flesh colour mid brown (colour code 131) is indispensable when you want to render natural skin tones in your artwork.

Why choose this professional version?
This pencil features an oil-based core of 3.8 mm, which ensures rich pigment release and smooth colour application. The round shape sits comfortably in your hand during long drawing sessions. With a total length of 176 mm, the pencil provides sufficient material for extensive projects.

What makes this colour particularly suitable?
The flesh colour mid brown is specially formulated for realistic skin rendering and forms an essential base colour in your palette. The pencil is erasable and water-resistant, so you can build up layers of colour without earlier layers blurring or smudging. This property makes it possible to create subtle transitions and shadows.

Practical tip for optimal use
Thanks to the break-resistant (fracture-resistant) oil-based core, you can apply a little more pressure without the core breaking. Combine this colour with other Polychromos shades from the same range for the best colour harmony. Store the pencil horizontally to preserve the quality of the oil-based core.
