What does this colouring pencil do and when do you need it?
The Faber-Castell Polychromos colouring pencil has been specially developed for artists who want to achieve professional results. This pencil contains an oil-based crayon core that ensures intense colours and excellent coverage on a variety of surfaces. You use this type of pencil when you want to make drawings that stay beautiful for a long time and do not fade through contact with water or smudging movements.

Why the 3.8 mm core diameter is the right choice
The 3.8 mm core diameter makes this pencil particularly versatile to use. This thickness gives you the option of both working out fine details and colouring in larger areas. Thanks to the width of the core, you can create different line thicknesses by adjusting the angle at which you hold the pencil, which is especially handy for artistic projects.

Erasable and waterproof properties
This colouring pencil stands out for its erasable and waterproof oil-based crayon core. Once applied to paper, the colour remains stable and does not change due to moisture or accidental contact. This property makes the pencil suitable for artworks you want to keep for a long time or that may be exposed to various conditions.

Practical specifications for use
The pencil has a total length of 176 mm, and its round shape sits comfortably in your hand during extended use. The break-resistant core means you are less troubled by breaking points while drawing. With colour code 251 you get a specific silver-coloured tint that combines well with other colours from the Polychromos range.
